I was born in to a musical family. My aunt was a professional singer when she was young and my dad was rated the number one jazz trumpeter in Scotland before we moved south to England in 1962. Because of this, I grew up surrounded in Big Band music. This has obvously had a big influence in the music I like to sing today. I sang my first solo at school at age 6. Between church and school, I was always singing, not that I ever wanted to stop. If I wasn't singing with bands I was playing with them, trumpet, sax, flute later, horn and tuba. Years of playing these intruments has helped me to develop a very powerful voice.

At age 17 I left school and toured with a singing group. Age 19 I got married and moved to the Huntingdon area. It was there I met some friends and we formed a group called "The Travellers". At this point I moved away form Big Band and discovered other styles of singing including some country. At age 30 I finally got back to my roots with the Ambassador Big Band. We toured the UK for about 6 years in between bringing up my son, Benjamin, and my daughter, Katrina. In 1993 my life took another turn when I met my now best friend and colleague Peter Day.

It was a couple of years later, while going to a business meeting that I first heard him singing in the car along with Elvis Presley. I said to him "do you know you sound just like him?" I couldn't believe it when he said "do I?". He had no idea, so I set him up. Our friends couldn't believe it either. Over the next 2-3 years I cajoled him into singing at various events, usually to raise money for charity. One such event meant singing in the snow at Christmas time in a flimsy Elvis suit, in the middle of Ramsey to raise money for the Christmas lights. He was always brilliant but he has now developed an amazing act and audiences love it. I am very proud of what he has acheived.

Peter's act has developed from that of an Elvis impersonator into a well-rounded 50s and 60s cabaret night with many songs that people know and love, both by Elvis and by other great singers.
